Rizky Nur Rahman is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK), Balikpapan. His academic interests focus on architectural design and housing–settlement studies, with particular attention to contextual, functional, and sustainable design approaches. He is actively involved in teaching architectural design studios and related courses that emphasize design thinking, spatial exploration, and the integration of technical and environmental considerations. In addition to his academic role, he is also a practicing architect, which allows him to bridge architectural theory and professional practice. This dual role informs his teaching and research, particularly in the areas of applied design processes, housing and settlement planning, and real-world architectural problem-solving. Through both academic and professional activities, he is committed to developing architecture that responds to social needs, environmental context, and practical constraints.
